Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese medical technique for relieving pain, curing disease and improving general health. It is based on the belief that an energy (known as Qi), flows through the body in 12 channels or pathways called meridians, which is also associated with a major visceral organs and systems in the body.

Acupuncture is designed to affect the flow of energy in the body, so that the Qi will be enabled to flow freely and harmoniously.
